covid19 update

Face coverings

Important announcement from the Board of Directors regarding the mask requirement policy related to the Covid-19 pandemic.

In response to Governor Ducey’s most recent directive, the Board of Directors held an emergency meeting today, April 1, 2021, to discuss NSFC’s mask wearing policy. The mask mandate was put in place in response to one of the Governor’s earlier directives in order to protect the Fellowship and allow the doors to remain open, while also providing as safe a space as possible to conduct meetings during this past year.
The Governor’s most recent directive permits the Club to alter our current mask policy. As such, after much deliberation of all the available facts and concerns presented to us in this emergency meeting, and via a majority vote, the mask mandate was rescinded at the Fellowship by the Board.
Instead, individual groups, through the Group Conscious process, will determine if masks will be required at their meetings. It is important that groups convene their Group Conscious meetings as soon as possible to make this decision so as to avoid confusion. The Board is requesting that it be informed as to each group’s decision.
The Board strongly encourages that masks be worn at all times and that social distancing stay in effect, i.e., recommendations from the CDC. We will not be adding any additional seats to any rooms and will maintain our current setting of half-capacity.
We thank you all for your support and understanding.
Respectfully, NSFC Board of Directors

Doors to remain open

We want everyone to know that NSFC doors will remain open with normal hours during these difficult times. There may be some groups that feel uncomfortable being in a social setting as the COVID-19 situation progresses, or may not be able to attend meetings in person. NSFC will leave it up to the individual groups to decide what is best for them. This may change upon local or federal mandates.

In person meeting schedule

The schedule may not reflect actual attendance due to COVID19, however we are working to keep it updated with any changes the individual groups may decide upon. If you find a meeting is not being attended, please use the contact form on this website to report to us. Thank you.

Zoom meetings

As an option, some members have arranged for video conference meetings to be held during the same schedule via Zoom. A schedule of those meetings is available here, and if you have Facebook, search for North Scottsdale Fellowship Club for the NSFC page, and the Friends of North Scottsdale Fellowship Club Facebook group which is providing regular updates of meetings.
